GA-86. Georgia. 1777. $4. No Resolution Date. PCGS Very Fine 35 PPQ.,No. 11875. Five signatures. Blue-green Liberty Cap seal. A key Georgia Colonial note rarity. Exceedingly Rare and one of only three confirmed examples we have seen. A stunning note, the superb paper quality is fresh and natural, perhaps graded a shade conservatively. Complete margins, broader at the top. Natural paper ripple as made runs through printed left indent and is not a distraction. Well printed seal with excellent embossing. One of the other confirmed examples of this type was last sold by us in the Ford X Atlanta sale on May 26, 2005, where it brought an appropriate $23,000.00 (with the buyers premium). It completed a serious specialists set that night. The other was a lesser quality piece which was part of the Eric P. Newman Collection. Very light pencil notation by Chapman on the verso and old price of 10.00. An important opportunity for the astute collector of fine Colonial notes and missing from several advanced collections.,,
