1890-CC Liberty Head Double Eagle. Unc Details--Altered Surfaces (PCGS).，A sharp strike and bright honey-gold patina enhance the appeal of this more affordable Carson City Mint double eagle. The mintage for this popular issue is 91,209 pieces, up more than 60,000 pieces from the preceding years double eagle tally at the Nevada coinage facility.
