1842 Liberty Head Eagle. Large Date, Crosslet 4. AU-50 (PCGS).，Pleasing honey-gold surfaces with most central design elements boldly to sharply defined. Much of the original satin luster remains despite the present of light wear and scattered small to moderate-size abrasions from time spent in circulation. The Large Date is the more frequently encountered date logotype of the 1842 Liberty Head eagle with a mintage of 62,844 pieces as opposed to just 18,623 coins for its Small Date counterpart.
