1875-CC Trade Dollar. Type I/I. MS-64 (NGC).,This lovely example exhibits intense satin luster and a virtually full strike to both sides. Brilliant apart from speckles of milky-silver patina, the surfaces are expectably smooth for the assigned grade. With a substantial mintage of 1,573,700 pieces, the 1875-CC is the most available Carson City Mint trade dollar. Circulated examples are obtainable with ease and, since many are chopmarked, it is obvious that this issue saw widespread exportation to the Orient. With such a distribution, however, it is also understandable that Mint State survivors are scarce to rare in all grades. Few are Choice, as here, and even fewer are above the MS-65 level.
