The strike is sharp, the luster is full, and the surfaces are uncommonly well preserved in a circulation strike half dollar of the conditionally challenging Barber type. One of the scarcer Philadelphia Mint issues in this series, the 1896 has a limited mintage of 950,000 pieces.，，
