MS-65+ (NGC).,Splendid surfaces are silky smooth in texture with a lively satin finish beneath iridescent reddish-apricot and, at the borders, cobalt blue toning. Fully struck in virtually all areas, this is an exceptionally well produced and preserved coin in a late date Capped Bust, Lettered Edge half dollar. As a rule, survivors of this issue, while plentiful in an absolute sense, are challenging to locate with solid technical quality and strong eye appeal. Even most Mint State survivors are poorly defined with subdued and/or heavily abraded surfaces.
