1913 Buffalo Nickel. Type II. Proof-67+ (PCGS). CAC. Gold Shield Holder.，Breathtakingly beautiful Superb Gem quality for this key date Proof Buffalo nickel. Fully struck with razor sharp definition from the rims to the centers, both sides also exhibit a virtually pristine satin texture that is free of even the most trivial blemishes. Mottled toning in gorgeous apricot, gold and powder blue iridescence rounds out a truly impressive list of positive attributes. From a mintage of 1,514 pieces, survivors of which are the rarest Proof Buffalo nickels after only those from the 1916 issue. Obviously most contemporary collectors acquired a Type I example for their first year Proof Buffalo nickel acquisition, their disenchantment with the satin finish of these coins further explaining why comparatively few examples of the Type II issue were preserved.，，
