1866/1866 Shield Nickel. Rays. FS-303. Repunched Date. AU-50 (PCGS).，A wholly original and aesthetically pleasing piece with subtle olive highlights to otherwise medium gray surfaces. Boldly to sharply defined throughout, repunching is plainly evident on all four digits in the date when examined with the aid of a loupe. The extra 6 to the right of the final digit in the date is particularly pronounced. With most known examples of this variety in low grades this nicely preserved AU is sure to catch the eye of advanced variety collectors and Shield nickel enthusiasts alike.，From the Dr. James McCallum Collection.
