1869 Two-Cent Piece. MS-65 RD (PCGS). OGH--First Generation.,A glorious Gem with fully original color in blended medium orange and salmon pink. Satiny in texture with a razor sharp strike from the dies, the surfaces are smooth and exceptionally well preserved in all regards. While much scarcer than the 1864 and 1865, the 1869 (1,546,500 circulation strikes produced) is still a readily obtainable two-cent piece in grades through Choice Mint State. Most Uncirculated survivors are Red and Brown, at best, and with the combination of full Red color and expertly preserved surfaces the present example is decidedly rare from a condition standpoint.,,
