Secure Holder.，An uncommonly well struck coin for the issue with otherwise bold detail that wanes only minimally around the reverse periphery, indicative of a worn die. Bathed in warm medium orange luster, both sides exhibit a few trivial carbon flecks that explain the Choice rating from PCGS. Plentiful in lower circulated grades due to widespread hoarding during the 1940s and 1950s, the 1918-S is scarce in average quality Mint State and rare with the above average striking and surface quality offered here.，，
