1886 Indian Cent. Type I Obverse. MS-65 RD (PCGS).，This is a vivid and attractive Gem with subtle golden-olive and salmon pink highlights to otherwise rose-orange surfaces. Silky smooth in appearance with a soft satin texture, a razor sharp strike rounds out an impressive list of physical attributes. The circulation strike 1886 Indian cent, scarce as a date, is divided into two distinct obverse hub varieties. The Type I Obverse, offered here, is the outgoing variety for the series and it attributed to James Barton Longacre. It is most readily identifiable by having the lowermost feather in Libertys headdress pointing between the letters IC in AMERICA (as opposed to between CA for the Type II Obverse). Although Type I examples are a bit more plentiful than their Type II counterparts, the variety is rare with the quality and eye appeal of the present example.，，
