1842 Braided Hair Cent. N-7. Rarity-2. Large Date. MS-63 RB (PCGS).，Satiny surfaces are predominantly lustrous with minimal glossy brown iridescence to otherwise dominant medium orange. A few of the obverse stars are blunt, and isolated areas of the denticulation are soft on both sides, but the central design elements are sharp to full. Faint spot in the obverse field between stars 2 and 3, speckles of carbon here and there around the reverse periphery, but otherwise this is a smooth Choice Mint State example with a pleasingly original appearance.
