A brilliant to golden-tinged trio with solid Gem quality and strong visual appeal. Although the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco mints each struck 100,000 Booker T. Washington Memorial half dollars in 1947, only approximately 10,000 examples of each issue were eventually distributed to contemporary collectors. The balance of each mintage was melted.
