1936 Lynchburg, Virginia Sesquicentennial. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC.，The obverse of this handsome half dollar displays mottled sandy-gold patina while the reverse remains virtually brilliant. Twenty thousand half dollars of this type were struck pursuant to the Act of May 29, 1936, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the issuance of a charter to the city of Lynchburg, Virginia.
