1917 Standing Liberty Quarter. Type II. MS-64 FH (NGC).，Brilliant surfaces support full mint luster and a razor sharp strike. Modifications to the design resulted in an inordinate amount of pressure being placed on the obverse dies for the Type II Standing Liberty quarter. The result is that Full Head examples of this type as a whole are much more difficult to find than for its Type I predecessor. Indeed, the 1917 Type II is an important strike rarity with J.H. Cline (<em>Standing Liberty Quarter</em>s, 2007 edition) asserting that "10% or less" of the mintage was struck with Full Head definition.
