Michigan, Flint. 1869 New York Clothing Emporium, Breckler & Lewinstain. Bowers MI-330. Brass. 38 mm. Choice About Uncirculated.，Obverse: Liberty Seated silver dollar motif. Reverse: Mauve heavy card printed in black with 11 line advertisement, NEW YORK / CLOTHING / EMPORIUM, / Breckler & Lewinstain, / Dealers in / READY MADE CLOTHING / Hats, Caps. and Gents / Furnishing Goods, / No. 2 Fenton Block, / FLINT, / MICH. Satiny light olive gold on the shell, with light hairlines and toning specks but good luster. The card shows a little handling under magnification, but absolutely damage. A lovely piece from the only reported issuer of such cards in Flint. The plate piece in the Bowers reference wherein it is noted that this particular Liberty Seated die is very rare.<p>The firm is identified as Breckler & Lewinstein in some contemporary accounts, but mostly Breckler & Lewinstain. It was located at 52 Saginaw Street, Flint. In the early 1870s they also had stores in Lepeer and Bay City, Michigan. In 1873, <em>Bradstreets Reports of the State of Michigan</em> gave the firm a fair credit, not large, but sufficient for business.<p>，Ex Steve Tanenbaum, 2011; Q. David Bowers Collection.<p>，
