AU-55 RB (NGC).，A premium example for the assigned grade that retains plenty of rich rose-red luster to surfaces that are also lightly toned in glossy brown. Boldly defined with a satiny texture and just a bit of light carbon scattered about. These historic medals were struck to commemorate the opening of the United States Mint in Manila on July 16, 1920, the only overseas coinage facility ever established by this country. The dies were prepared by George T. Morgan using a design by Clifford Hewitt. The mintage comprised 2,200 silver and 3,700 copper impressions, plus five gold pieces, three of which were lost during World War Two.，，
