Unc Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).，Dark gray and pewter surfaces are oxidized over both sides, although all devices are discernible with patience, and there are no outwardly distracting marks. A few areas of erosion are evident on the high, soft rim. The fragile nature of the composition and the low relief of the design combine to give the appearance, on first examination, of a grade less sharp than that assigned. Rare.<p>Struck by C. Wyllys Betts some 20 years after the date on the medal, examples of this type have been eagerly sought by Washingtoniana collectors.
